Pyrite Publisher
Pyrite Publisher is a command-line utility for Unix/Linux systems that creates Palm-format e-books. Although I haven’t worked on it in a number of years, it actually still works fairly well at what it does, and since there seems to still be some demand for it, here it is. Pyrite Publisher is a Python application, and should work on any Unix/Linux type system with a Python version newer than 2.1 or so.
No instructions are provided, but you can probably find some help installing Python applications on python.org, and you can find out the available command line options using the --help option to the program.
Anyway, here are the downloads:
- Source tarball: pyrite-publisher-2.1.1.tar.gz
- Source zip: pyrite-publisher-2.1.1.zip
- Fedora Core 6 RPM: pyrite-publisher-2.1.1-1.i386.fc6.rpm
- Fedora Core 7 RPM: pyrite-publisher-2.1.1.fc7.i386.rpm
- Windows Binary: pyrite-publisher-2.1.1-win32.exe Note: Completely self-contained with a minimal GUI, might actually still work but untested.

The .zip and .tar.gz files seem to be corrupt.
